We’re on our honeymoon, so our priority is to stay in very nice places. This, is one of them.
Our room was modern, comfortable, clean and 20 paces from the beach and pool. It had AC, which in this climate is a must, especially for 2 eejits from Ireland. The heat here can be oppressive!
The staff couldn’t do enough for us, from laundry to organising a private boat tour to phi phi ley (Maya beach) at half the cost of one of the other boat tours. They’ll even pick you up from the beach outside the hotel and drop you back there. Wonderful.
The hotel itself is in a beautiful location and itself is beautiful and extremely well kept. It’s far enough away from the main drag for it to be quiet, and close enough to walk into town for food or a few drinks. That is something to note, it’s Muslim owned, so no alcohol sold on site. This isn’t an issue as there’s a shop 2 minutes away that sells it and other bars next door where you can have a drink if you’re stuck.
I couldn’t rate this place highly enough if you’re of an age (over 30) and not interested in going hell for leather in the pub, or if you have a family.
It really is a fantastic spot.
